Directed by Richard Fleischer, who passed way earlier this year, this high-spirited adaptation of Jules Verne’s sci-fi adventure on, or rather under, the high seas boasts a great cast that includes Kirk Douglas, Peter Lorre, James Mason, and the greatest giant squid ever.

Director David Lynch will appear in person at this special screening honoring the 20th anniversary of his surreal classic about a young man’s odyssey through his small town’s pitch-dark underworld.
This retrospective features student work by such notable California Institute of the Arts graduates as John Lasseter (Artistic Director of Pixar) and Stephen Hillenberg (creator of SpongeBob Squarepants).
