It's hard to believe 25 years have gone by since Ferris, days away from high school graduation, skipped school with such iconic aplomb, supported by Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey and, yes, a scene-stealing Charlie Sheen (as, of all things, a clarifying soothsayer in juvenile delinquents' clothes). From the moment Ferris  fashions himself a soapy mohawk and sings "Danke Schoen" in the shower to the moment he's singing that same song before what seems to be half of Chicago, Broderick shows a punky confidence, addressing the camera directly and charming the pants off everyone — except for Jeffrey Jones, his haplessly obsessive principal.
Free outdoor screening. No ticket required.
