The Los Angeles Film Festival is thrilled to celebrate costume designers and the inauguration of the Academy's Costume Designers Branch with a special event exploring the convergence of art, design and film. This evening program is designed to shine the spotlight on the contributions of costume designers to the world of cinema and will include a reception and exhibit of photographs by artist Alex Prager; a panel discussion with esteemed costume designers Michael Kaplan (Star Trek: Into Darkness, Fight Club, Blade Runner), Jeffrey Kurland (Inception, Erin Brockovich), Ellen Mirojnick (Wall Street, Fatal Attraction), Sophie de Rakoff (Legally Blonde, In Her Shoes); moderated by Laura Dern (Enlightened, Wild at Heart); and an outdoor screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (featuring costumes by acclaimed costume designer Edith Head), preceded by Alex Prager's Hitchcock-inspired short film Despair.

The Academy Hollywood campus is located at 1341 Vine Street in Hollywood (between De Longpre Avenue and Fountain Avenue, and between Vine Street and Ivar Avenue).
The campus is accessible via the Metro Red Line train and the Metro Local 210 bus.
Free parking is located behind the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study.
Enter from Homewood Avenue off Vine Street, one block north of Fountain Avenue.
The lot opens 90 minutes prior to the event and closes 30 minutes afterwards.
