Recently voted "best film of all time" by Sound and Sound magazine's critics' poll, Alfred Hitchcock's classic obsession stars James Stewart and Kim Novak as two people caught in a web of lies and deception.

The Los Angeles Film Festival is thrilled to celebrate costume designers and the inauguration of the Academy's Costume Designers Branch with a special event exploring the convergence of art, design and film. This evening program is designed to shine the spotlight on the contributions of costume designers to the world of cinema and will include a reception and exhibit of photographs by photographer Alex Prager, a panel discussion with a group of esteemed costume designers, and an outdoor screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (featuring costumes by acclaimed costume designer Edith Head), preceded by Alex Prager's Hitchcock-inspired short film Despair.

Tickets for Vertigo will go on sale as part of the Oscars Outdoors screening series on the Academy's website on Wednesday, May 22. www.oscars.org
